Richard G. “Rick” Pfalzgraf, 71, of Streator passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 15, 2024. 

  Funeral services will be at 6:30 P.M. Friday, July 19th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M, Friday, July 19th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  Private family burial will take place at St. Stephen’s Cemetery at a later date.

  Born March 4, 1953 in Streator he was the son of Glenn and Mary (Burash) Pfalzgraf.  He married Terri Scott in 1977.  She survives in Streator.

  He is also survived by his sons, Chris Pfalzgraf of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ryan Pfalzgraf of Streator; a grandson, Camden Anderson-Pfalzgraf of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a sister, Carol Stash of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Eric Pfalzgraf; and his brother, Ronald Pfalzgraf.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1971.

  He worked over 40 years combined between Thatchers Glass Company and later for Owens Illinois from where he retired.  

  Richard loved the Green Bay Packers and visiting Lambeau Field with his family.  He also spent his early life as a member of the Vermillion Boat Club, enjoyed boating & camping at Lake Shelbyville with his family, and was a big fan of golf.  He will be greatly missed by his beautiful Labrador retriever, Shelby, who became his best friend since retirement.  

  He was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church.
