Richard Joseph Rhodes, Sr., age 76 of Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away at his home at 8:54 AM, Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 31st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Wednesday, December 31st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator.

  Mr. Rhodes was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Minnie Rhodes, wife Vicki Rhodes, children Howard Fluech, Jr. and Tobias John Fluech, siblings Margaret Rhodes, Marsha Mataika, Ruth Reynolds, Harry Rhodes, Donald Rhodes and twin brothers John and George Rhodes.

  Survivors include his children September Rahn of KY, Tempy (Jim) Freeman of IL, Richard Joseph Rhodes, Jr. of KY, Brandy (Jack) Thompson of TN, Joshua Jason Robert (Stephanie) Rhodes of IL, November Rhodes of IL; his beloved cat Midnight “Dog”; as well as his closest grandchildren Alyssa Guy, John-Michael Guy, and Lexi (Kayla) Turner. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren in addition to his siblings Sharon Burleson of IL, Linda Benning of MI, Pamela (John) Hill of IL, Vicki Evans of IL, Dale Rhodes of NV, James Rhodes of IN and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends Barry Rule, Dewanna Williams, Felix May, Dennis Branch, Brett Scantling and many others.
