Richard B. “Dick” Williamson, 83, of Ransom passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Pavilion of Ottawa.
Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday, February 12th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Born January 1, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri he was the son of Bowman and Dorothy (Smith) Williamson.
He is survived by a brother, Donald (Connie) Williamson of Nashville, Illinois; nephews, Jeffery (Misha Reiman) Williamson of Ransom, Charles (Kelly) Williamson of Marion and Michael (Tara) Williamson of Taylorville; great nieces and nephews, Tyler Williamson of Lexington, Kentucky, Zach (Andie) Williamson of Ransom, Garrett Williamson of Ransom, Emma Williamson of Nashville, Reid Williamson of Marion, Rylan Williamson of Marion, Elsie Williamson of Taylorville, Daisy Williamson of Taylorville and Bowman Williamson of Taylorville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dick was raised in Nashville, Illinois. He attended Nashville grade schools and graduated from Nashville High School.
He owned and operated Ransom Fertilizer since 1978. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He was a member of the Ransom Lions Club. A long-time resident of Ransom he was very active in the community.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
