His second time around partner in life and business was Mary (Gamino) Ceja-Anderson since April 9, 1988. She survives in Streator. Born and raised in the Chicago he worked as a Meat Cutter and in Real Estate Property Rehab.

Through the years he lived in Chicago, Justice, Berwyn, Hickory Hills, Palos Hills, Joliet and Streator.

Robert “Bob” “Roberto” “Andy” Anderson passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his daughters, son in law and Mary.

Retiring from the meat cutting trade after 24 years and going into the rehab-rental business with Mary, Robert’s destiny was Streator on a casual drive; a beautiful, sunny fall day in September 1994, to the residence that he loved, cherished and purchased in February of 1995. His vision, talents and work ethic in so many trades made this home one of a kind.

Friendly to anyone who stopped in, his gift of gab, knowledge on so many topics, together with his belief that you talk to a stranger wherever you go made him many friends in his 72 years of life and his 24 years of residency in Streator.

His laugh, jokes, antics and ability to make you laugh and his vision on making someone else’s trash into a treasure will be remembered by all who knew him.

Robert will be greatly missed by his immediate and extended families of Anderson, Ceja, Gamino, Powers, Rager and Szambelan. He will also be greatly missed by a long list of niecs, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his Streator family and friends.
