Robert E. Salisbury

  Robert E. Salisbury, 70, of Varna passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022.

  Funeral services for Robert will be private. 

  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

  Born January 15, 1952 in Pontiac he was the son of Glen and Carol (Chamberlain) Salisbury. 

  He is survived by his partner, Paula Bailey of Varna; a daughter, Lindsay (Craig Jr.) Ramza of Ottawa; a son, Christopher  Salisbury of Streator; grandchildren, Ava and Ainsley Ramza; and Jonathan and Andrew Salisbury; a sister, Bonnie (Bill) Risley of Gilbert, Arizona; and a brother, Larry Salisbury of Peoria.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Mary Salisbury.

  He graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1970.

  He worked through the years for the family business Salisbury Oil.  He later joined the Local 150 Operator’s Union where he spent most of his time working for Vulcan Materials as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

  Bob enjoyed his last several years living at Lake Wildwood during his retirement.
