Rolland Bonner, 75, of Streator and formerly of the Chicago area passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the services at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Born April 2, 1945 in Hughes, Arkansas he was the son of Thomas and Althea (Norton) Bonner. He married Maye “Mary” Williams. She survives in Streator.
He is also survived by daughters, Latonya (Tajuan) Akins of Streator, Lashone Bonner-Jacobs of Chicago and Juanisha Sanchez of Kankakee; grandchildren, Omari and Imani Akins; Jaylen and Robert Sanchez; brothers, Benny (Mary) Bonner of Chicago and Johnny Bonner of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bosetta Bonner, Ruthie Bonner and Charlene Bonner; and brothers, Lane and Marvin Bonner.
Rolland lived most of his lifetime in the Chicago area and suburbs. He moved to Streator a year ago.
He worked for many years at Miles Laboratory as a Lift Truck Driver until his retirement.
He was of the Baptist faith.
