Ronald A. Ferguson, 73, of Streator passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026 at his residence in Streator.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 1st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 1st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery, Streator.
Born December 26, 1952 in Streator, he was the son of James and Jean (Koenig) Ferguson. He married Sharon Maskel on May 11, 1974 at St. Anthony Church, Streator.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ferguson of Streator; daughters, Brooke Ferguson, Tiffany Ferguson and Kiley (Kristopher Burns) Ferguson; a son, Josh (Jennifer) Ferguson; grandchildren, Coulter Sorenson, Remington, Ryker, Wyatt, Maverick and Briley Ferguson all of Streator; sisters, Judith Ferguson, Jill Pavlick and Janice Ott, all of Streator; a brother, Richard Ferguson of Streator; a brother in law, Terry Maskel of Madison, Wisconsin; numerous nephews and nieces also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Ferguson; his in laws, Earl and Ann Maskel; brothers in law, Butch Maskel and Dale Ott; and a sister-in-law, Ann Louise Ferguson.
Born and raised in Streator, he attended Kangley Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.
He worked through the years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union and the IBEW. He later worked for Commonwealth Edison in Electrical Maintenance for over 20 years until his retirement.
He attended St. Anthony Church for many years.
Ron enjoyed working and tinkering around the house and always staying busy. He mostly was a family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
