Ronald L. Kornas

Ronald L. Kornas, 80, of Streator passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born May 27, 1938 in Ottawa he was the son of Anna Kornas. He married Janice Avon on August 29, 1959 at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Kornas of Streator; a cousin, Jess (Eileen) Kornas of Streator; a sister in law, Angie Gutek of Streator and a brother in law, Robert (Mary) Avon of Streator; nieces and nephews also survive.

He attended Greeley Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1956.

He served in the United States Army from 1961-1963.

He worked for Thatcher’s Glass Company in Machine Repair for 58 years.

He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church. He was also a member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council # 790.
