Ruben DeLeon

  Ruben DeLeon, 47, of Streator passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

  A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, November 13th at Ashbury Clubhouse located at 3403 Lawrence Drive, Naperville, IL 60564 from 12pm to 3pm.

  Born January 28, 1975 in Aurora he was the son of Daniel and Ramona (Ramirez) DeLeon.  He married Estella DeLeon on March 17, 2001. 

  He is survived by his wife, Estella DeLeon of Ancona; his father, Daniel DeLeon of Naperville; sons, Ruben DeLeon of San Diego, California and Ivan DeLeon of Streator, IL; sisters, Juanita (Guadalupe) Avila of New Mexico, Celinda DeLeon of California, Alma (Roy) Mendez of Aurora, Delia (Jason) Dy of Naperville, Michelle Morgan of Tennessee, Thelma (Dan) Thomas of Flanagan, IL, Fellasita Herrera of California and Ramona Herrera of California; brothers, Daniel (Lupe) DeLeon of Aurora, Joe DeLeon of Texas, Noe (Laura) Ramirez of Colorado and Carlos Herrera of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Ramirez DeLeon and a sister, Christina Herrera Rodriguez.

  He was of the Catholic faith.

  Ruben loved spending time with children, his animals and restoring classic cars.  Ruben was an avid breeder of champion pit bulls.  Ruben also enjoyed frequent fishing outings with his family.
