Sally A. Marshall

Sally A. (Dawson) Marshall, 70, of Minonk formerly of Streator passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in Normal.

Private services will be held at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be family members.

Born October 18, 1948 in Streator, she was the daughter of John F. and Ronelva (Shaw) Dawson. She married Frank O’Kraski. He survives in Minonk. She later married Charles Marshall. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her life partner, Frank O’Kraski of Minonk; a sister, Sandra (Terry Novotney) Mills of Morris; brothers, James M. (Susan) Dawson of Lansing and Tom Dawson of Flanagan; grandchildren, Alex and Aaron Burns of Normal; sister in law, Mary Ann Dawson; 3 nephews and 5 nieces; special neighbors, Michael and Hannah Fiorini of Minonk, which she thought of as her own grandchildren; and her furry companion, Copper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Burns; and brothers, John “Jack” Dawson and Daniel Dawson; and a niece, Julie Dawson.

Born and raised in Streator she attended Streator schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1967.

She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company for many years until her retirement.

Sally was a loving sister and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of family and loved ones. She enjoyed reading and working on puzzles and spending time with her special group of high school girlfriends.
