Stephen V. Tyler, Sr.

Stephen V. Tyler, Sr., 63, of Streator passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Born December 1, 1954 in Galesburg he was the son of Frank Tyler Jr. and JoAnne Moore. He married Mary L. Scott on May 8, 1991. She survives in Streator.

He is also survived by his mother, JoAnne of Streator; sons, Stephen Tyler Jr., of Streator, Lacey (Kiley) Tyler of Oswego and Antonio (Jewell Trost) Tyler of Bloomington; a daughter, Rachel (David) Ross of Charleston; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Tyler III of Streator, Timmy Tyler of West Virginia, Tyrone Tyler, Troy Tyler, Teresa Tyler and Tara Tyler all of Oregon; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Ronald Lee Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and Streator High School.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Stephen will be missed by his many friends and family.

He enjoyed pool and was a very good player.
