Thomas D. Bradley

Thomas D. Bradley, 91, of Streator passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Tom Bradley, Tana Danko, Daniel Danko, Jon Kaschak, Dale Chalkey and Austin Chalkey. Full military rites will be accorded by members of the Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.

Born February 13, 1928 in Ancona he was the son of Harry and Nellie (Egan) Bradley. He married Barbara J. Lux on November 19, 1959 at St. Anthony Church, Streator.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Bradley of Streator; a son, Tim (Teri) Bradley of Streator; grandchildren, Tom (Kayla) Bradley of Streator and Tana (Daniel) Danko of Streator; a brother in law, Russell Scott of Streator; and a sister in law, Rosemary Bradley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Florence DeZarn and Jean Scott; brothers, William, Joe and Pete Bradley; and a brother and sister in law, Dave and Betty Kaschak.

He lived his lifetime in the Ancona and Streator area.

He served in the United States Navy in Korea.

He worked through the years for Anthony Company, Virl Z. Hill, Rick Rutledge Buick and Ritchie Furniture.

He was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to the St. Michael the Archangel Church.

He was a member of Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council # 790.

Tom was an avid fisherman and Chicago Cubs fan. He was a loyal and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by his loving family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Michael the Archangel School or the Illinois Veteran’s Home in LaSalle.
