Todd Michael Stash, aka “Yella”, 51, of Streator lost his long battle with kidney failure and passed away on September 25, 2024.

  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 3rd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, October 2nd at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Monsignor Philip Halfacre will officiate.

  Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Spies, Ericka Kmetz, Frank Wahl, Ryan Riordan, Steve Erickson and Jim Campbell.

Born April 28, 1973 in Streator, he was the son of George and Carol (Christoff) Stash. 

  Todd who so many knew by the nickname “Yella” was a light in this world. Todd was the person who knew everyone and made a connection with people from all around. Todd was a lover of all things music and would spend countless hours at concerts and festivals making a friend out of everyone around him. Todd couldn't go somewhere without running into someone he knew, even when in Mexico.  Todd was a metal head with a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. Todd was loved by so many. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.  He is survived by his parents; loving sister, Monica Stash; a niece, Mollie (Steven) Lawless; a nephew, Tristin Paul; loving best friend, Heather Skoirechet and her daughter and son in law, Lauren and Ryan Welch; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.  

  The only true way to describe Todd was a free spirit who would light up the room with his presence. Todd will be missed by many.

  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Todd Stash or the National Kidney Foundation.
