Tony E. Tooley, 68, of Streator died Saturday June 15, 2024 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.

 Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator with Rodney Kreier, officiating. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Inurnment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator, at a later date.

 Mr. Tooley was born July 14, 1955 in Columbus, Indiana the son of Saretta (Cox) Tooley. He married Amy McKim July 14, 1995 in Ottawa.

 Tony is survived by his wife Amy of Streator, his mother Saretta (Ron) Missel, two daughters, Melissa (Kurt) Cook, Jessica (Craig) Banister, one son, Dylan (Madison) Tooley, two sisters, Vickie (John) Zeilman, Virginia (George Starkey) Hunter and three grandchildren, Landen Cook, Archer Tooley and Benedict Banister all of Streator. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Alice McKim, Streator and sister-in-law Ann (Colin) Leslie of New Zealand. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 He was preceded in death by his father-in-law William "Bill" McKim.

 Tony had been employed as a millwright at Owens-Illinois Glass Company prior to his retirement. He was a LaSalle County Board member and a member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club, rural Streator. He was a graduate of Streator High School, class of 1973 and of Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby. 

  He loved sports of all kinds and was especially a big Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan.
