Veronica V. Miller

  Veronica V. Miller, 86, of Streator passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at O.S.F. Center for Health-Streator.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. 

  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.  Pallbearers will be Darrell Porter, Jaryd Grabowski, John Brown, Tristan, Hagan and Max Miller and Joe Chavis.

  Born March 24, 1936 in Streator she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Leschinsky) Mihalovich.  She married William J. Miller on August 4, 1956 at St. Anthony Church in Streator.  He preceded her in death on March 1, 2005.

  She is survived by children, William “Wiley” (Angie) Miller of Streator, Judith “Judy” Miller of Streator, Dr. Daniel (Angela) Miller of Papillion, Nebraska and James (Ruthie) Miller of Jerseyville; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, John Mihalovich and a sister and brother in law, Eleanor and Norman Green.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended Sherman Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1954.

  She worked for the Mohan Law Offices after high school.  She later raised her children and was a homemaker for many years.

  She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  She enjoyed having coffee with her friends, reading and rooting on her beloved Chicago Cubs.  She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s various activities.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

  Memorials may be directed St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
