William Faust Obituary

  William Russell Faust, 78, of Streator passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at O.S.F. St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington.

  Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, February 16th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.  Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Friday, February 16th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Southside Cemetery in Pontiac.  Pallbearers will be Brian Moats Jr., Auston Buggar, Lee Quick, Steve Davis, Matt Goetz and Brian Moats, Sr.  Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Engel.

  Born February 18, 1945 in Pontiac he was the son of Raymond and Anna (Williams) Faust.  He was formerly married to Viola Lock on December 31, 1973.  She preceded him in death on May 5, 2019.

  He is survived by daughters, Misty (Nathan Engel) Moats of LaSalle and Christina (Shawn) Eikleberry of Paoli, Indiana; a son, Timothy Michael Raymond Faust of Streator; grandchildren, Cheyanne Dawn (Lee Quick) Moats, Brian Anthony Moats Jr., Auston Kile Buggar and Dylan Clay Buggar; a sister, Ruth Anne Peck of Pontiac; his beloved cat, Brownie; many other family members including cousins and nieces and nephews also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Anna Faust; his former wife, Viola Lock Faust; a sister, Sharon Kay Oliver and a grandson, Trenton William McGlothlin.

  Born and raised in Pontiac he attended Pontiac grade schools and Pontiac High School. 

  He worked through the years for Motorola and later Pontiac Chair Company until his retirement.

  He was a member of the Open Bible Church.

  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family and friends.  He also loved collectibles (especially glassware), sunbathing and long phone conversations with his loved ones.  Sitting on the porch and relaxing and just taking in the day made him very happy.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all he knew.
